‘Where’s My Water?’ Celebrates First Birthday

Last September, Swampy the Alligator was introduced in the smash hit mobile game Where’s My Water? for iOS and Android devices. Since then, Swampy has taken the world by storm – and is the first Disney character to originate in a mobile game.

Where’s My Water? was an immediate success, jumping to the top of the App Store charts for multiple weeks. Since then, Disney Mobile Games has added 350 additional levels; launched a free version of the game and even introduced a Phineas and Ferb themed addition to the lineup titled Where’s My Perry?

To capitalize on the success of the game, Disney Consumer Products also launched a line of Where’s My Water? apparel and toys in June, while Walt Disney Parks & Resorts brought Swampy to Typhoon Lagoon.

Now celebrating its first birthday, Swampy shows no signs of going anywhere. This fall, a new web series titled Swampy’s Underground Adventures will premiere on Disney.com and Disney on YouTube Network, while new black and white levels inspired by Disney’s Frankenweenie will be added to the free version of the mobile game.

Without a doubt, Swampy has become a mega success – and it’s doubtful things will slow down anytime soon.
