‘World of Color – Winter Dreams’ Debuts at Disneyland Resort for the Holiday Season

The holidays just got a little merrier at the Disneyland Resort with this week’s debut of ‘World of Color – Winter Dreams’ hosted by Olaf the snowman from Disney’s upcoming animated film Frozen.

The new show combines new animation with classic winter scenes from Disney and Disney/Pixar films including Bambi, Fantasia, and Toy Story. ‘World of Color – Winter Dreams’ also features new music and special effects for the stage of water used in the show.

The new World of Color show isn’t the only way guests can celebrate the holiday season at Disneyland. Starting this Friday, November 15, “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” starts at the Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure. This celebration includes live Latino music, dance lessons, traditional holiday foods, and appearances by Disney characters.

The festival concludes with a special celebration of Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes) on January 3-6.

This week also marked the beginning of A Christmas Fantasy parade, Believe…in Holiday Magic fireworks, and snowfall on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland in addition to special holiday decorations on Buena Vista Street and Cars Land. The Jungle Cruise has also been transformed in to the Jingle Cruise. And, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle has been transformed into Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle covered with twinkling lights.

‘it’s a small world’ has been transformed into a worldwide celebration of the season with more than 300,000 lights on the façade and the attraction’s figures are dressed in their holiday attire, while over at the Haunted Mansion with Jack Skellington has decorated the mansion with his own mashup of Halloween and Christmas.

At the Downtown Disney District guests will find the Downtown Disney Winter Village complete with Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink. Guests can lace up their skates and take a spin around the rink from 3-10:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 3-11:30 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays.

The Disneyland Resort hotels are also celebrating the holidays with twinkling lights, special entertainment, and holiday dining themed menus.
