World Premiere of ‘The Lone Ranger’ to Benefit the American Indian College Fund

The Lone Ranger arrives in theaters this summer on July 3, but the film makes its world premiere on June 22 at Disney California Adventure Park.

And this isn’t just any red carpet premiere. The star studded event for the Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer film is going to benefit the American Indian College Fund. Tickets for the world premiere are $1,000 each.

Disney has donated the tickets to the Fund and is responsible for underwriting the entire event which means the entire price for each ticket is going to the Fund. The money raised will be used to support scholarships and other programs for Native American students. The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships to 34 tribal colleges.

Guests at Disney California Adventure on June 22 will have a chance to line the red carpet on the park’s version of Hollywood Boulevard and maybe catch a glimpse of the stars of the film, the filmmakers, and other Hollywood celebrities.

The Lone Ranger stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, and Helena Bonham Carter. The film’s original soundtrack features songs by Iggy Pop, Iron & Wine, and Lucinda Williams and arrives in stores on July 2.
