World Series Champion Boston Red Sox Heading to Walt Disney World for Atlanta Braves Spring Training

It might seem as though baseball season just ended, but spring training is only a few months away and some of Major League Baseball’s top teams are headed to Walt Disney World.

The Atlanta Braves report to Disney in mid-February for two weeks of training, and will play the Detroit Tigers on February 26. The Tigers return to Disney on March 2 and March 21.

The Braves will play the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals on March 15, and they’ll face the World Series Champion Boston Red Sox on March 22.

Most of the Braves’ 17-game home schedule will be played against the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals. The games are played at Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Braves face the Nationals on March 4, 6, and 12, while the Mets meet the Braves on March 3 and March 23. The Houston Astros are scheduled to play February 28 and March 24.

The Braves’ spring training games feature family fun and in-game entertainment, Disney character appearances, and kids get to run the bases after each game.

Individual tickets for the Braves’ home spring training season go on sale December 2 at 10 a.m. through at ticketmaster.com and at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex box office. For more information visit www.espnwwos.com/atlantabraves.
