‘Zootopia’ Reaches $900 million Mark at Global Box Office
The animated film recently crossed the $900 million mark at the global box office making it the No. 1 industry release so far of 2016 and the No. 8 top-grossing animated film of all time.
With this new box office benchmark the film is also the second-biggest Walt Disney Animation Studios’ release of all time after Frozen (of course) and the third biggest overall (following Frozen and The Lion King).
The animated hit has earned $316.4 million in the United States and $592.1 million internationally.
It is one of the highest-grossing March releases of all time and in Russia, it is now the second biggest industry release ever.
