‘Zootopia’ Wins Academy Award for Best Animated Feature

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film Zootopia won the Academy Award for best Animated Feature at the 89th Oscars.

The film was nominated in the category alongside Moana.

Other nominations for Disney included best Original Song, ‘How Far I’ll Go,’ from Moana, best Short Film (animated) for Piper, and three visual effects nominations for Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and The Jungle Book.

Piper won the Oscar for best Short Film (animated) and The Jungle Book won for best Visual Effects.

ESPN won its first Oscar in the Documentary Feature category for O.J.: Made in America, which was directed by Ezra Edelman and produced by Caroline Waterlow.
