Dining at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is separated into two distinct sections – the French Quarter and Riverside. Each section has their own dining establishments, and the French Quarter section of the resort features several unique places to grab a beverage or a quick bite to eat.

At the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court, you’ll find a variety of traditional New Orleans favorites situated in a Mardi Gras-themed food court. While you will find American comfort food favorites like pizza and burgers, adventurous eaters should try a Muffaletta sandwich, the gumbo or jambalaya. Breakfast is also served here, including bagels, beignets, danish, muffins and yogurt parfaits, as well as egg dishes, pancakes and french toast. You’ll also find a special kids menu with plenty of kid-friendly fare like chicken nuggets and grilled cheese.

For a little bit of adult fun, stop by the Scat Cat’s Club, a swanky lounge where adult guests can stop and have a drink or two while relaxing or socializing. This full-service bar serves plenty of traditional favorites along with specialty drinks like the Bourbon Street Blues (a mix of Jack Daniel’s, blue curacao, Sprite and sweet and sour.) You can also try the Sassagoula Swamp Water, but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart – it’s a combination of rum, gin, tequila and a “secret ingredient” to finish it off. Seasonal drinks are also available, so ask your server what the current specials are when you visit.

As with most Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Port Orleans has their own poolside bar. Called Mardi Grogs, this bar serves plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy while lounging poolside and soaking up the sun. Specialty cocktails are available, as well as draft beer, frozen drinks, sodas, vitamin water and energy drinks.

Dining at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter will immerse you in the culture and excitement of New Orleans. Whether you want a quick bite to eat at the food court or to relax in a comfortable lounge with a cocktail, you’ll be able to find something for everyone to enjoy.
