Golfing at Walt Disney World

For golf enthusiasts, golfing at Walt Disney World may seem like a dream come true. There are five separate golf courses within Walt Disney World Resort, as well as special camps and other opportunities for junior golfers to hone their skills. Additionally, Walt Disney World Resort offers golf lessons and rentals for the golfer that really wants to improve their game.

One of the most popular courses at Walt Disney World Resort, the Magnolia Golf Course offers wide fairways, beautiful landscaping, and a challenge for both advanced and novice golfers alike. The course also boasts a great practice facility to help players improve their skills, and plenty of food and beverage carts to help you stay hydrated and ready to play.

The second course, Disney’s Palm Golf Course, is set in a beautiful setting depicting Florida’s woodlands. As you play, you may even be lucky enough to spot wildlife! Both seasoned and beginner players can enjoy this golf course complete with elevated greens, 94 bunkers and 9 water holes.

Another popular course, Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course, has been described as one of the most tranquil places in all of Walt Disney World Resort. This 18-hole course is perfect for serious golfers, but those who golf for recreation may enjoy the challenge as well. This golf course was also recognized as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary. When you need to take a break from the challenging course, visit The Sand Trap Bar & Grill for a bite to eat and a cold beverage.

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf course is the fourth course available within the Walt Disney World Resort, and features a challenging 7th hole and elevated bunker greens to help players test their skills. This particular course is also one of the few courses that has hosted PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and USGA events. This course also features a classic country club atmosphere with the distinctive touch that Disney is famous for, as well as The Artist’s Palette, a restaurant open all day for dine-in and carry out.

Finally, there’s Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, a 9-hole, family-friendly course perfect for casual golfing. The surrounding woodlands are home to deer and other wildlife, which you may occasionally see as you make your way around the course. The Oak Trail Golf Course is perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a relaxing, casual game of golf.

For those who would like to pick up golfing or improve their existing skills, the Walt Disney World Resort offers private golf lessons for both adults and kids. Children ages 8 to 13 can improve their game by attending a 5-day Junior Golf Camp, or booking private lessons with Disney’s PGA instructors. Adults can also book private or group lessons, and can also rent golf equipment and accessories.
