Disney Movie Magic Debuts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A new nighttime projection show has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney Movie Magic is a 10-minute projection show that happens nightly at the Studios.
The show features projection mapping technology that transforms the Chinese Theater with classic moments from Disney films.
Guests will see chimney sweeps from Mary Poppins, Captain Jack, Lightcycles from Tron: Legacy, and Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Preview at Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace August 28-30

Fans of Disney Infinity can stop by Once Upon a Toy in the Downtown Disney Marketplace for special preview days August 28-30.
The all-day event will give guests the chance to see the new Disney Infinity 3.0 and play the game before its official release on August 30.
New figures for Infinity 3.0 include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, characters from Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out, and Sam Flynn and Quorra from TRON: Legacy.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition to Feature Star Wars Characters

Disney Interactive has announced that the all-new Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack will feature Star Wars characters.
The 3.0 Edition will be available this fall and will including three Star Wars Play Sets – one set during Episodes I-III, the second during the original trilogy, and the third will be available this winter and will be based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Nicole Perlman Hired to Pen Disney’s ‘Terra Incognita’

Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman has just been tapped by Disney to pen Terra Incognita, an upcoming film project based on an original pitch.
In Latin, “terra icognita” means “unknown land,” but Disney is keeping plot details about the flick tightly under wraps. However, we do know that Justin Springer – who previously worked on Tron: Legacy and Prom, will produce the project.

‘D23 Presents: Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives’ Exhibit Opens at Reagan Library

This week, a momentous occasion for Disney fans occurred, as Disney and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library officially debuted the D23 Presents: Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit. This exhibit, which is housed at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, is the largest Disney archives exhibit in the world, giving Disney fans a look at more of the historic and legendary items in the company’s Archives than ever before.

Disney in Talks to Make A ‘Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride’ Movie

Sources say that Disney has plans to turn the iconic Disneyland attraction Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride into a feature film.
Pete Candeland, best known for his work on The Gorillaz music videos, is set to direct the live-action/CGI film based on the long-running attraction. While Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride enjoyed a stint at Walt Disney World as well, they closed the attraction in 1998. However, the ride still remains a fan favorite among Disneyland visitors.

In their latest announcement of what’s in store for Disney fans at the upcoming D23 Expo, Disney has announced that Expo attendees will be able to get a sneak peek at some upcoming ABC programs. Disney XD Launching Several New Shows

With the recent announcement of Disney XD’s cancellation of I’m in the Band, as well as the uncertain future of Zeke and Luther, fans will need to look forward to some of the new shows that are in the pipeline for Disney Channel’s sister station.
