Happy New Year’s Eve!
If you’re lucky enough to be celebrating today or tonight at the Walt Disney World Resort there are several special New Year’s Eve events planned at the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.
Guests at Epcot can enjoy DJ’s spinning tunes in several locations in World Showcase and Future World. A special presentation of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is planned for 11:40 p.m., featuring a countdown and salute to the New Year.
New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Magic Kingdom include Fantasy in the Sky fireworks. The Holiday Wishes New Year’s Celebration is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight, featuring fireworks and a countdown.
If you happen to be at home tonight, but still wish you could see the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks, tune in to the Disney Parks Blog at about 11:40 p.m. for a live broadcast of the fireworks!
And, Disney’s Hollywood Studios rings in 2017 starting at 7 p.m. tonight with a DJ dance party at Center stage, two countdowns to midnight with fireworks, and performances of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at 9 p.m. and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular after midnight.
