Disney Channel to Offer Special Black History Month Programming

This month, the Disney Channel will be airing special interstitials to celebrate Black History Month.

These original shorts will showcase children from the Challengers Boys and Girls Club Of Los Angeles as they share their hopes and dreams, along with what inspires them and how they want to change the world. The shorts are part of the Disney Channel’s This is Me series.

Says Ron Pomerantz, vice president of marketing and creative for Disney Channels:

We are proud to commemorate Black History Month with programming content that empowers kids to express themselves and share how they are already making a difference in the world.
