FASTPASS Coming to New Mickey Meet and Greet at Magic Kingdom

With the Fantasyland expansion well underway, and Toontown officially closed, we all knew that Mickey and Friends would have to find a new home at Magic Kingdom.  Today, Disney is sharing a few more details about the spot that’s being prepared for everyone’s favorite Mouse.  Check out the beautiful artist’s rendering of what the new space will look like!

As we had previously shared, Mickey will take up residence in a brand new spot near the front of the park at Magic Kingdom.  Town Square Theater, located inside the current Exposition Hall, directly across from Guest Services and adjacent to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, is currently being renovated from top to bottom with brand new features, including an interactive queue, which should make those minutes waiting for Mickey tick by just a little faster.

But perhaps the most exciting new feature of Disney’s new home is that, for the first time ever, guest will have the option of utilize the FASTPASS service to reduce their wait time for Mickey meet and greets.  With the new feature, guests can obtain a FASTPASS for a one hour window during which they can return to visit with Mickey, bypassing the standby line altogether.  And, until their new digs beneath the spires of Cinderella’s castle are completed, the Princesses will be sharing Mickey’s new home as well.

We can’t wait to see what the Imagineers are dreaming up for this space!  But until it’s ready, you’ll be able to visit with Mickey in Tomorrowland, and the Princesses will greet their fans in Adventureland soon.
