FastPass+ System Updated at the Walt Disney World Resort

IMG_8852It’s official. The FastPass+ system at the Walt Disney World Resort has been updated, effective April 10.

If you have the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone you’ll need to update the app in order to use the updated system.

Under the updated FastPass+ system guests are no longer required to choose three FastPass+ selections. Instead, guests choose members of their FastPass+ party (just in case someone doesn’t want to experience Expedition Everest), then choose the time frame you want to make your selections, and then the app will give you suggested times for rides and attractions at your chosen theme park.

Then guests can choose to make one, two, or three FastPass+ selections, which provides more flexibility for guests.

After guests have used their initial three selections they can use the My Disney Experience app to book another selection – and it can be at another theme park provided that guest has a Park Hopper! This allows guests to skip the lines at the FP Kiosks around the parks.
