Menu & Reservations News For the Be Our Guest Restaurant in Fantasyland

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have some exciting news regarding the menu and reservations at the Be Our Guest restaurant opening in the new Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.

The restaurant will serve both counter-service and table-service meals (lunch and dinner, respectively,) but counter-service at this restaurant will be much different than what you’re used to at other Magic Kingdom dining establishments.

When ordering, guests can utilize touch-screen, automated computer terminals to customize their order, but regular cashiers will be available for guests with dietary restrictions or cash orders. Once you’re seated, your food will arrive on actual tableware – forget paper plates and plastic utensils.

The lunch menu will also feature plenty of French inspired dishes, like a tuna Nicoise salad, a Croque Monsieur sandwich and pommes frites. Other options include braised pork, turkey sandwiches and vegetarian options like the vegetable quiche. A sizeable kids menu will also be available featuring kid-friendly favorites like mac & cheese, carved turkey sandwiches and Mickey meatloaf.

During the dinner hour, the dining room will be transformed into a table-service establishment. The menu will start off with a charcuterie plate that includes cured meats, steamed mussels, two soup options, a salad with champagne vinaigrette, and a salad trio. For the main course, flavorful options like ratatouille, sauteed shrimp and scallops with veggies in puff pastry with a lobster sauce, grilled strip steak and more adorn the menu.

Dessert is a flavorful affair as well, with strawberry cream cheese cupcakes, a chocolate cream puff and more.

At this point, reservations are expected to open up sometime in August, but an exact date is unknown. We do know, however, that the Be Our Guest restaurant will be part of the Disney Dining Plan. We’ll keep you updated with more news as it becomes available.
