New Concept Art Revealed for Revamped Test Track in Epcot

A few weeks ago, we gave you a look at what the exterior of the revamped Test Track attraction in Walt Disney World’s Epcot will look like when the attraction reopens December 6. Now, GM and Disney have released even more concept art for the attraction, giving us a look inside this futuristic renovation.

“The re-imagined Test Track portrays an optimistic view of the future, and reflects the deep collaboration between Disney and Chevrolet on both the design and the overall experience,” said Eric Jacobson, senior vice president, Walt Disney Imagineering. “It’s a thrilling attraction supported by rich exhibit displays and interactive elements that bring guests directly into the design process – with a few surprises thrown in.”

The attraction will begin with a sleek, modern queue and pre-show, in which guests will be able to design their own custom vehicles to use in the ride. Helpful hints from the Chevrolet designers will guide guests as they design their own car, truck, or crossover vehicle. Here are some pieces of concept art for the queue and preshow:

Next, guests will board their vehicles and take a test drive in the vehicle they’ve designed, taking the car over different surfaces that replicate an actual process Chevrolet engineers use on their new vehicles. Each custom design will be evaluated and scored based on how well their design balanced the core attributes.

Finally, the attraction’s post-show will give guests the chance to race their custom vehicle on a digital driving table, record their own TV commercial starring their vehicle, pose for pictures with their design, and explore an elaborate showroom of Chevrolet vehicles. Take a look at some concept art for this post-show area below:
