New Details Announced for ‘Frozen’ Attraction in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

frozen summerhausAs construction continues in the former Maelstrom attraction, transforming it into Frozen Ever After, Disney has released more details about the changes coming to the Norway pavilion in Epcot.

The pavilion’s main attraction – Frozen Ever After – will take guests on a journey through Arendelle with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff. The ride will use the same track as Maelstrom and will showcase the ‘Winter in Summer’ celebration.

The Norway pavilion will also be home to the Royal Summerhus, a cabin where guests can meet Anna and Elsa. (There’s no word yet on whether Kristoff, Sven, or Olaf will join the meet-and-greet). The cabin will be based on a historic cabin in Norway and Disney Imagineers actually traveled to Norway to study the cabin

The Royal Summerhus will add a significant amount of space to the Norway pavilion and Disney says they are “confident” it will bring more guests to the pavilion and will “increase their interest and knowledge of Scandinavian culture.”

There is no official word as to when Frozen Ever After or the Royal Summerhus will open.
