Royalty Shall Abound Aboard the ‘Disney Dream’

Getting closer to its maiden voyage on January 26, 2011 construction on the ‘Disney Dream’ cruise ship is progressing and the latest project featured on the Disney Parks Blog is sure to awaken even the sleepiest beauty. The ship’s “Royal Palace” restaurant will find inspiration in the classic Disney ‘princess’ films; “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Snow White,” & “Beauty and the Beast.” Evoking specific design elements from the films guests with a sharp eye may notice columns and iron railing work reminiscent of those seen is “Cinderella,” or wall sconces seen in the “Beauty and the Beast” film.

So what will guests at the Royal Palace dine on? Our guess is not a shiny poisoned apple!

“At Royal Palace, guests will feast on a world-class continental cuisine. The menu will include dishes fit for a monarch, including beef Wellington, crowned rack of lamb, king salmon and princess cake. The wine list will feature an excellent selection of Old World wines. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at this restaurant.” (Disney Parks Blog)
