The Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks are Full of Fun for the Holidays this Season

disney christmasSure, the calendar still says summer but it’s never too early to start planning your holiday vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.

The holidays start November 8 at the Magic Kingdom with the kick-off of this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

This holiday hard-ticket event runs for 20 select nights through December 18 and includes Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes fireworks, and of course cookies and hot chocolate on Main Street.

Once again this year the Jungle Cruise will be transformed into the Jingle Cruise and Queen Elsa will be using her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering ice palace each night during ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’ castle lighting show.

Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can enjoy The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights beginning November 6.

The Candlelight Processional begins November 27 at Epcot and is performed three times per night at 5, 6:45, and 8 p.m. through December 30. The Holidays Around the World also starts November 27 in World Showcase and guests will have a chance to experience Christmas traditions in the World Showcase pavilions.

IllumiNations also gets the holiday treatment with the special IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth – Holiday Edition which ends with a seasonal finale full of snow flurries.

And don’t forget about the holiday decorations at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels including the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian and the gingerbread display at the Contemporary.
