shanghai2Welcome to our weekly news roundup! Before jumping in to this week’s news we’d like to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father’s Day!

Last week was a tragic week for Orlando and Walt Disney World. Following the mass shooting last weekend at Pulse nightclub, Disney was rocked by another tragedy on Wednesday when a two-year-old was killed by an alligator at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Following this tragedy Disney began installing temporary fences along the shores of the resort’s beaches including at the Grand Floridian and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

On the other side of the world, this week marked the opening of Shaghai Disney Resort. The grand opening celebration was June 16.

Back at Walt Disney World, reservations are now open for the Holiday Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party happening this fall during the holiday season.

And finally, Disney released a teaser trailer for the new animated film Moana which sails into theaters in November.
