d23 treasuresIf you haven’t had a chance to make it to Chicago to see the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives presented by D23, you’re in luck.

The exhibit has been extended through January 4, 2015 at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (MSI).

Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives features more than 300 artifacts from nearly 90 years of Disney history, including props, costumes, memorabilia, and artwork. The items are from Disney animated films, theme park attractions, television shows, and live-action Disney films.

The exhibit also features hands-on attractions where guests can explore Disney’s animation technology and learn how to draw their favorite Disney character.

“Guests of all ages have enjoyed revisiting their favorite Disney moments in this exhibit,” Anne Rashford, director of special exhibits, said. “They learn about Walt’s inspirational journey to create the company behind so many movies, television shows and theme parks that bear the Disney name. We are thrilled to be able to keep the exhibit here at MSI through the holiday season.”

Tickets for the exhibit are available at MSIChicago.org.
