Tomorrow is the day – Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters and Marvel has teamed with Disney Consumer Products to celebrate real life heroes with a new line of merchandise.
The merchandise was inspired by the Marvel super heroes and was created in collaboration with Entertainment Retail Enterprises. The new collection includes T-shirts, hats, drinkware, blankets, and more.
The new collection features Marvel characters and graphics that have been paired with patriotic elements.

The first day of May is tomorrow and the Walt Disney World Resort has announced the special merchandise events for the month.
Two popular artists are at Walt Disney World Resort at the beginning of the month – Greg McCullogh is at the Art of Disney in Epcot from now through May 3 and Larry Dotson is at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney from now until May 3.

There are some major changes on the horizon for the theme parks at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Oriental Land Co., Ltd., announced the planned improvements this week and they include new themed areas in Tokyo Disneyland and a Frozen themed port for Tokyo DisneySea.
The Fantasyland redevelopment at Tokyo Disneyland will feature two news areas themed after Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland. The areas will feature new attractions, restaurants, and merchandise locations as part of the “overall redevelopment.”

The Walt Disney Company has announced a three-year collaboration with the National Park Foundation (NPF) to get 500,000 kids into the national parks by 2017.
As part of the agreement Disney will also continue to be the lead sponsor of the NPF’s ‘Open OutDoors for Kids program and will continue to support the Find Your Park campaign.

The transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs is continuing as more stores and restaurants are opening and construction seems to be non-stop.
In recent weeks guests have seen The BOATHOUSE open at The Landing in addition to the opening of several new stores including Sound Lion and Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC.
One store that has kept guests guessing is the old United World Soccer storefront. The windows of the old store now feature Marvel characters including Star Lord and others, and a sign that says “Coming Soon: Superhero Headquarters.

Today’s the day – Free Dining was announced this morning for select travel dates this fall at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The dates for the 2015 free dining offer are: August 28 through October 2; October 25-31; November 8-19; and December 15-21.
Guests wishing to book free dining must book a minimum of three nights at your Disney hotel and must also purchase at least a 2-day Magic Your Way ticket with Park Hopper or Water Parks Fun and More option.

The final runDisney Expedition Everest Challenge happens Saturday, May 2 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The nighttime event combines a 5K race and a scavenger hunt that includes running, obstacle courses, and puzzles. The race course takes runners through the Animal Kingdom – a park that can be difficult to navigate in the daylight.

Disney Junior’s hit animated series Doc McStuffins was has won the Peabody Award for Excellence in Children’s Programming.
The award recognizes outstanding storytelling in electronic media and the show was recognized specifically for “disarming, inspiring storytelling.”
Doc McStuffins is about a young girl who aspires to be a doctor like her mom. Doc runs a clinic for stuffed animals and other toys in her playhouse. Every episode features Doc and her stuffed animal friends Stuffy, Lambie, Hallie, and Chilly.
