Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrated its 30th Anniversary on May 1 with a special parade of characters, specialty treats, and the debut of a new logo for the park.
The new logo features BB-8, Mickey Mouse, and Woody — three icons that represent the transformation of the park that includes Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and the new attraction Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Other news revealed during the 30th Anniversary celebration included the announcement of a new table service restaurant in Toy Story Land – Roundup Rodeo BBQ.

A new BBQ restaurant – Roundup Rodeo – has been announced for Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This new table service location will be an immersive experience for guests who will be surrounded by “all of the rodeo festivities in-action as well as western town and train station play sets” according to the description from Disney.
The family-friendly dining experience will also feature toys, games, and playsets from Andy’s toy collection.
No menu details have been announced other than that the restaurant will be a BBQ eatery.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is celebrating its 30th anniversary on May 1 with a special parade, new merchandise, special eats, and more.
The party starts with a ‘star-studded’ cavalcade with Mickey Mouse and friends at 10 a.m. on May 1.
Guests can pick up a special commemorative button and and anniversary guide map when they arrive at the park.

We have big news to share! The opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been announced!
Galaxy’s Edge will open May 31 at Disneyland and August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Rise of the Resistance attraction will open at a later date in Disneyland.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens this summer at Disneyland and this fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney has released more information about what guests can expect at the new land.
Several dining locations will join the already-announced Oga’s Cantina including: Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Ronto Roasters, The Milk Stand (where you can get Blue AND Green Milk), and Kat Saka’s Kettle.

Disney has unveiled two new logos for the 30th anniversary celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – and they feature the stars of the “Cars” films.
This seems fitting since the new Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy opens March 31.
This new attraction is part of the on-going transformation of the Studios, which also includes the new Toy Story Land, and of course, the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge later this fall.

The new live-action Dumbo flies into theaters in late March, but guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland, and even on the Disney Cruise Line will get a special sneak preview before that.
The extended sneak preview of Dumbo will be presented at the Main Street Opera House in Disneyland’s Town Square, and as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests aboard Disney Cruise Line ships will also see the preview.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has an official opening date!
This new “show experience” races into the Studios on March 31, 2019.
According to Disney, “Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will welcome you inside the world of Pixar’s Cars films, bringing you face to face with racing legend Lightning McQueen. ”
Guests will learn the rules of the road from Lightning’s “years of experience” and more!

The all-new Wonderful World of Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set to debut on on May 1 – the 30th anniversary of the theme park!
According to Disney, this new nighttime show “will use state-of-the-art projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey himself.”

The logo features Mickey and Minnie – who will be starring in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opening this spring at the Studios.
The new 30th anniversary logo debuted during the live stream of the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks on the Disney Parks Blog.
The park’s official 30th anniversary is May 1, but we’ll be celebrating all year.
