More Details Announced for Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The changes just keep coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Earlier today we told you about the new signature dining restaurant opening at the park in 2016 and now we have more details about the new Rivers of Light show that is also slated to start in the spring of 2016.

New Signature Dining Experience Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2016

Big changes are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for 2016 and beyond including an all-new signature dining experience.
Tiffins is a  new signature dining restaurant that will celebrate the art of traveling and its lunch and dinner menus will reflect the countries that inspired the Animal Kingdom. Disney has not yet released details about the menu items.
The restaurant will also feature waterfront views and will feature indoor and outdoor seating.

Disney Cast Members Worked Behind-the-Scenes to Bring ‘The Lion Guard’ to Life on Disney Junior

Disney Junior’s newest primetime movie, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, airs November 22, and cast members from Disney’s Animal, Science and Environment team played a key role in the film’s development.
The cast members spent time with the team from Disney Junior to assist and advise animators on the characteristics, behaviors, and habitats of the animals that are part of the movie. The team, led by Dr. Jill Mellen, reviewed scripts and made suggestions about the animals portrayed in the film.

Deck the Halls with the Home for Your Holidays Collection from the Disney Parks

Now that we’ve all stuffed ourselves with turkey and all the trimming it’s time to deck the halls for the holidays!
The Home For Your Holidays collection has returned to the Disney Parks and it includes ornaments, pillows, home goods, and everything you need to turn your home into a magical winter wonderland.
Guests can find items from the collection at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom including a tree skirt, holiday cards, and even a decorative apron.

Second Pedestrian Bridge Now Open at Disney Springs

Guests traveling by foot to Disney Springs from any of the resorts located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard can now use the brand-new pedestrian bridge.
The first pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs opened earlier this fall near Team Disney. The second bridge is located closer to Hotel Plaza Boulevard. The crosswalks at the street level are now closed.
The opening of the pedestrian walkway was marked with confetti streamers, music, and the cutting of the ribbon with golden scissors.

‘Tangled: The Musical’ Debuts Onboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider have hit the high seas.
Tangled: The Musical recently debuted on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic. It’s the first time the hit animated film has been adapted for the stage.
The new musical tells the same story from the film and features Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Mother Gothel, and even Maximus the horse.

Santa Claus Has Arrived at Disney Springs

Santa Claus has come to town.
Jolly Old St. Nick has arrived at Disney Springs and he’s meeting guests, figuring out who has made his nice list this year.

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Expanded to 90 Days for 2016

The 23rd annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival starts March 2, 2016 and will run for 90 days.
The festival has previously run for 75 days each spring.
Next year’s festival will once again include the Outdoor Kitchens, new topiaries, interactive gardens, and the Garden Rocks concert series.
At the festival, Donald’s nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie will make their topiary debut with Donald and Daisy at Epcot’s entrance. Ranger Mickey will appear at the festival for the first time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service.
