Registration opened this week for the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races, and as of today several races are sold out.
No matter what race you might be running, runDisney is handing out all new medals for all runners who complete the races.
Next year marks the 10th anniversary for Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge and that milestone will be marked with a special commemorative medal. The challenge is 39.3 miles and includes finishing the half marathon and the full marathon.
The already sold out Walt Disney World 10K will feature a Minnie Mouse-inspired medal, while the Disney Half Marathon runners will earn an all-new Donald Duck themed medal. Runners who finish the Marathon receive a Mickey Mouse-inspired medal.
The Dopey Challenge returns for a second year in 2015 and those who complete the challenge – including the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon – will earn six medals. The Dopey Challenge sold out on the first day of open registration.
