‘Basin’ at Downtown Disney District Closes; Anne Geddes to be Next

25 January 2011 No Comment

One store has recently closed in Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District, and another will follow later this spring.

Basin, which specializes in bath and beauty products, officially closed its Disneyland Resort location on December 31.  The store opened in the popular Disney shopping destination 10 years ago.

Basin still has two locations at Walt Disney World – one in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and another at Downtown Disney.  There are apparently no plans to close either at present.  ”Disney and Basin have had a valued partnership over the last 10 years and look forward to the continued success of the Walt Disney World locations,” said Disney spokesperson Betsy Sanchez in a statement.

The Anne Geddes store is also slated to close later this spring.  No replacement has been named for that store at present.
