30 April 2011 No Comment

D23, the Official Disney Fan Club, will be hosting a very special 20th anniversary celebration in honor of Disney’s 1991 hit The Rocketeer. The one-night-only event will be held at the historic El Capitan Theatre and will take place on June 21, 2011.

The night will begin with film director and writer Kevin Smith, who will host a reunion panel of several cast and crew members from the film. Following the panel, attendees will be treated to a screening of the film and a tour of the Hollywood Museum, where they will be able to view many exhibits as well as props and costumes from The Rocketeer that were specifically curated for the event by the Walt Disney Archives.

D23 fan club members may purchase tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime event three weeks before they go on sale for the general public. Members also have the added benefit of being able to reserve seating for themselves and up to three guests. Additionally, fan club members and those they purchase tickets for will each receive a special commemorative gift to mark the occasion.

Tickets will go on sale for D23 members May 2 at 10 a.m. PST via the D23 website. The general public can purchase tickets beginning May 23.  The price for tickets will be $50 per person.
