starwars artist renderingDisney has announced more details for the Star Wars-themed lands that are coming to Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The details were announced during a segment of the Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 television special. Harrison Ford introduced the segment during the show.

Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm are collaborating to bring the Star Wars galaxy to life and fans had a chance to see artist renderings of what the lands will look like.

A new attraction will give guests the chance to board the Millennium Falcon and pilot the ship, “steering the vessel through space, firing laser cannons.”  The First Order will also be part of the experience and guests might find themselves in battles between the Stormtroopers and Resistance fighters.

The new Star Wars-themed lands are 14 acres each and will also include new dining and entertainment offerings including a Supper Club and a Cantina.

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have additional details about the dining options in the Star Wars-themed lands in addition to more screen grabs straight from last night’s television special.
