More than 4 decades have passed since the introduction of It’s A Small World, and it still remains one of the most famous attractions at Disney Parks.

While children and families alike continue to enjoy the attraction and the catchy song, the artwork that inspired the ride has never before been given the attention it well deserves. Artist Mary Blair played an integral part in bringing the attraction to life, and for the first time ever The Disney Gallery will be showcasing the artwork that made it all happen.

The new exhibit, which will debut May 13, will feature the artwork of Mary Blair, and the photographs that inspired the ride. Fans of It’s A Small World will undoubtedly recognize Blair’s influence throughout the classic attraction. Here are a few sneak-peek images you can expect to see once the new exhibit debuts.

Check back with DisZine as more information is revealed as we lead up to the opening of the new exhibit.
