If you have ever visited Downtown Disney you know how difficult it can be to cross Buena Vista Drive – but now there’s a new pedestrian bridge to ease your travels.

The new pedestrian walkway towers over Buena Vista Drive and is located near Team Disney and will give guests easier and safer access to the still-being-renovated Downtown Disney.

The bride was developed by Reedy Creek Improvement District, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Disney Springs Project team and is expected to be opened later this spring.

A second pedestrian walkway will be installed near Hotel Plaza Boulevard and will be open later this summer.

Work on the transformation to Disney Springs continues at Downtown Disney and new retail locations have opened in recent weeks in addition to the new Village Causeway. Next month one of the new restaurants, The Boathouse, is scheduled to open.
