October Merchandise Events Announced for Disneyland Resort
Starting out the month is a book signing and appearance by Dave Bossert, the author of Remembering Roy E. Disney. He’ll be at the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5. There is a limit of two signed items per guest, and guest cannot bring personal items to the event.
The latest HARVEY’S for Disney Couture collection bag is out and it features a classic leopard print with a Minnie Mouse twist. On October 12 fans and purse lovers can come out to Disney Vault 28 in the Downtown Disney Distrcit and meet creators Dana and Melanie Harvey from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Fans of the fusion of Disney and pop culture will want to stop at the WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District on October 19 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. to check out the Pop Fusion exhibit. The exhibit features new releases from J. Scott Campbell, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, and Jared Andrew Schorr.
Artist Jerrod Maruyama’s “Hanging at Sam’s” – the second in a series form the Happiest Hipster on Earth collection – releases this month and fans can stop by WonderGround Gallery on October 19 to meet Jerrod. This special event and signing takes place from 2-4 p.m.
Fans of the Linda Rick’s Precious Moments dolls can meet Linda and see the new Halloween-inspired dolls on October 25-27 at the World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney District.
If you’ve ever wondered how Tinker Bell got her name, stop by the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland on October 26 and pick up a copy of Tinker Bell: An Evolution. The book is an full biography of the feisty pixie and author Mindy Johnson will be on hand to sign copies of the book purchased at the event. The book signing takes place from 9-11 a.m.
The artist Noah will be at the WonderGround Gallery on October 26 from 2-4 p.m. to sign his latest release “The Price You Pay.” And, artist of the month Miss Mindy will be at the WonderGroud Gallery throughout the month as this month’s artist in residence. Fans can meet her on October 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26 from 6:30- 9:30 p.m.
