Run Disney Teases Facebook Fans with New Race Clues

24 March 2011 No Comment

Run Disney plans to announce a brand new event next month, but not before teasing fans on Facebook first.

Last week, the fan site, which is followed by more than 42,000 fans, revealed that a new announcement would be coming about a race in April:

Based on some of the responses to our posts about the WALT DISNEY WORLD Marathon Relay this week, you might think that was runDisney’s big new news. It is big, and we’re excited about it. But we have some even bigger news coming next month. What could it be? Stay tuned…we’ll start to clue you in next week.

Today, with even more mystery, Run Disney posted the following information:

There’s a new runDisney race coming but we can’t tell you the details just yet. We’ll be announcing it soon, but until then we thought it would be fun to give you some clues and see if you can figure it out yourself. Each clue, when deciphered, tells a piece of the story of our new race. The clues aren’t easy, so be sure to invite some friends to help you out.

Will you be able to piece everything together before our big announcement?

The first clue, pictured above, Fantasia/Dumbo Dumbo:Tangled.  What?

I confess, I was left scratching my head.  Guesses from fans who are interested in deciphering the clues ahead of the announcement include a triathlon, a 3/4 marathon, and a new endurance race during a different season – and even a new Tangled ride!

Stay tuned to DisZine for the latest as we cover the clues.  We love a good mystery almost as much as we love a good Disney running event!
