A new film, Awesome Planet, has been announced for The Land Pavilion in Epcot.
The film “showcases the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth.”
This new addition at The Land is part of the on going expansion at the park that includes updates to the film in Canada and the new Beauty and the Beast sing along that will rotate with Impressions de France in the France Pavilion.
Awesome Planet will feature “spectacular nature photography, immersive in-theater effects, and space sequences” created by Industrial Light & Magic.

The Epcot Festival of the Arts is a celebration of visual, culinary, and performing arts, and in addition to the Disney on Broadway Concert Series guests can also enjoy other live performances during the Festival.
At the 2018 Festival three groups will be taking the stage in World Showcase, and two will perform beyond the Festival dates.
Matboukha Groove will be performing in the Morocco Pavilion from January 1 through July 1, 2018.

Epcot’s Canada Pavilion recently had two new totem poles installed.
The new totems were created by Tsimshian artisan David Boxley who had created a totem pole for the Trading Post in the 1990s.
One of the new totems, the Eagle Totem, tells a story “in which a boy finds an eagle caught in a net on a beach and frees it. Years later, when hunger strikes the boy’s tribe, he walks on the same beach, only to find the eagle there waiting for him with food – paying him back for his …

The Canada Pavilion in Epcot is celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday with a special commemorative button.
Guests at the pavilion can join in the birthday celebration by answering questions about Canada such as: “What do Canadians call a one dollar coin?” (A Loonie), and “Who hosts Hockey Night in Canada Coach’s Corner?”
Answer the questions correctly and you’ll receive a button.
The free commemorative pins will be available to all guests through July 1, 2017. No purchase is necessary to receive a pin.

Epcot’s Canada pavilion has a new musical act, but it isn’t Off Kilter.
The band TradNation is now performing at the Mill Stage just outside the pavilion. The band brings the traditions and music of French Quebec to the pavilion.
According to Disney, music in Quebec is a “community experience that brings families, friends, and neighbors together.”
TradNation is performing traditional songs in addition to original compositions that have been passed down through the generations.

This time the rumors swirling around social media were true.
Disney is replacing several fan-favorite acts at Epcot’s World Showcase with new entertainment options.
Over the next few weeks fans will no longer be able to see Mo’Rockin’ in the Morocco pavilion, Off Kilter in the Canada pavilion, Spirit of American Fife & Drum Corps in the American Adventure Pavilion, or the World Showcase Players.
These acts are being replaced by a traditional Berber music and dance troupe in Morocco, a lumberjack-inspired show in Canada, a Celtic folk music group in the United …

This July, Epcot’s Off Kilter Celtic rock band will celebrate 15 years of performances. They’ll be performing at the Canada Pavilion at World Showcase, and visitors who are lucky enough to hear them play will be treated to a variety of traditional Celtic folk tunes as well as several radio hits.
Songs like Bryan Adams’s Summer of 69 and Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s Takin’ Care of Business will be part of the band’s repertoire, as well as Farewell to Nova Scotia, which sounds suspiciously like the Mickey Mouse March.
