When Disney announced its animated film Planes, a spin-off sequel to the hit franchise Cars, Jon Cryer was originally tapped to lend his voice to the role of Dusty. Now, sources have announced that Dane Cook will replace Cryer in the role.

Disney has announced details about the fourth play set coming to Disney Infinity, the video game that features physical figures and virtual worlds akin to Activision’s Skylanders franchise.
In addition to Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters Inc., and The Incredibles, Pixar’s Cars characters will have their own play set when the game launches. While the first three play sets will be sold in a starter pack for $74.99, the Cars play set will sell individually for $34.99. According to Disney, each play set will add about six to nine hours of gameplay.

Recently, Braid Paisley filmed a special performance at Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land which will appear on Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade on ABC December 25.
This wasn’t the first time the country superstar visited Radiator Springs, however. Not only did Paisley attend the grand opening of Cars Land in June, but he also recorded two songs for the original soundtrack for Disney/Pixar’s Cars. “Behind the Clouds” was one of the songs, which you will see during his performance when the televised parade airs later this month.

Disneyland Resort has announced plans to feature a Cars Land-inspired float in the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA next year.
The float will feature the stars of Cars in floral-themed glory, including Lighting McQueen, Sally, Luigi, and Guido. Additionally, floral displays of several areas within Disney’s California Adventure “Cars Land” will be integrated within the float, including Radiator Springs Racers and the Cozy Cone Motel.

This month, Disney VoluntEARS in California donated their time at the Orange County CANstruction event, where they built a sculpture of Mater himself out of 5,700 cans donated by the Disneyland Resort. This is Disney’s fifth year participating in the event, and the group was rewarded with the “Juror’s Favorite” award.

Singer Sheryl Crow recently stopped by Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land with her sons Wyatt and Levi. The trio posed for a photograph, and you’d be hard pressed to tell which of them seems more excited about exploring Radiator Springs!

Children at ten nonprofits in Southern California recently got a dose of Disney magic, thanks to a recent donation by the Disneyland Resort. This week, Disneyland donated thirty of their special Lightning McQueen Power Wheels to the local nonprofits, which include the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Orange County Ronald McDonald House, and the Anaheim Family YMCA.
