Disney Redesigns Homepage with an Entertainment Focus and Mobile Capability

The Walt Disney Company has been busy redesigning its website, promising a more user-friendly interface and a focus on the entertainment experience. In an interview Friday, Disney Interactive co-President James Pitaro said that the new site has been built from the “ground up,” keeping in mind delivery to multiple devices, especially increasingly popular tablets and smartphones.
Making such a dramatic shift to what he called the “digital gateway to Disney” is not without risk, he said.

Disney.com Debuts New Collaborative Fan Art Program

Every minute new artwork is being added to Disney.com’s new fan art mosaic, the “Group Wall.” Part of Disney.com’s popular “Create Portal” the new feature allows Disney fans of all ages to contribute their own unique art on-line to create one collaborative piece. Guests are able to follow the growth of the collaborative mosaic on the “Group Wall” website as part of the dynamic “Create Portal” online environment.
