According to sources, Craig Gillespie is in negotiations with Disney to direct their sports flick Million Dollar Man.
The film is based on the true story of sports agent J.B. Bernstein (played by Jon Hamm,) who discovered professional pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through a reality show he produced in India.
Gillespie previously helmed Lars and the Real Girl, as well as Mr. Woodcock and the remake of DreamWorks’ Fright Night. As of this writing, the film does not have an expected release date.

It’s official: Jon Hamm of Mad Men is slated to play the lead role in Disney’s upcoming baseball flick Million Dollar Arm.
The film follows sports agent J.B. Bernstein on his quest to discover baseball talent in India, where he recruits two cricket players – Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel – to play for a professional baseball team. Based on a true story, Million Dollar Man was written by Thomas McCarthy and will be produced by Mark Ciardi, Gordon Gray, Joe Roth and Palak Patel.
