Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion Celebrating ‘Coco’ with New Entertainment and Exhibits

If you’re visiting Epcot’s Mexico pavilion this month you can check out new entertainment and exhibits inspired by Disney/Pixar’s Coco.
El Mariachi Coco de Santa Cecilia, a new musical group, will be entertaining guests from now through January 6.
The group is named for the town in the film and will perform songs from Coco including “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia.”
The Mexico Folk Art Gallery currently has a display of “Dia De Muertos” artwork and will soon add an interactive exhibit and dioramas from the film.

New Tequila Bar Coming to Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion

A new tequila bar has been officially announced for Epcot’s Mexico pavilion.
The announcement comes several months after the popular margarita kiosk closed in the pavilion.
Choza Tequlia will be located just outside the pavilion’s pyramid and will be serving up hand-crafted margaritas (just like what you’ll find inside the pavilion at La Cava), in addition to tacos, empanadas, chips, and even fresh guacamole.
There is no official opening date for Choza Tequila, but we expect it to open in the early part of this year as the construction walls have been up …

Walt Disney World Planning to Build New ‘Frozen’ Meet-and-Greet in Norway Pavilion

A new construction project is reportedly in the works at Epcot’s World Showcase, but it isn’t for a new country pavilion. At least not a real country.
According to documents filed with the South Florida Water Management District, Disney is planning to build the ‘Epcot Frozen Meet and Greet” in a 13,000 square foot building located between the Mexico and Norway pavilions.
This new building will reportedly be the spot for guests to meet Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and other characters from Frozen. Currently guests can only meet Anna and Elsa at the …

Limited Time Magic Events Include Princesses and a Mexican Fiesta

This week the Disney Parks are celebrating princesses, Cinco de Mayo, and glow ears with special Limited Time Magic events.
Starting Sunday May 5 and running through the end of the week, a Limited Time Magic Fiesta is happening at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. Guests can meet the Three Caballeros – Panchito, Jose Carioca and el Pato Donald – and enjoy special performances including marionettes and folkloric dancing. The San Angel Inn and La Hacienda are offering special menus that include Cinco de Mayo inspired drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
