dancing lights-001It’s been another busy week in the world of Disney news so let’s jump right in!

Disney announced that this was indeed the final year for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The annual holiday light display is leaving to make room for the new Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land.

To celebrate the last year for the light display guests can enjoy two new events – the Merry & Bright Dessert Party in November and December, and the Merry & Bright Dinner Party on January 1-3, 2016.

Speaking of Star Wars Land, construction is set to begin in 2016 for the new lands at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland. There has been no date announced for the start of construction for Toy Story Land at the Studios.

Disney also announced the addition of a new fireworks dessert cruise – the Ferrytale Wishes Dessert and Fireworks Cruise. This cruise will sail on select nights from October 5 through December 18 on the General Joe Potter, one of the iconic Walt Disney World ferryboats.

A new cruise is coming to Disneyland too. The Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast is available for a limited time. Reservations can be made at the Disneyland website.

Also in Disneyland, a new Frozen stage show is coming to Disney California Adventure in 2016. The show will replace Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, which will have its final show on January 10, 2016.
