ThirstyRiverBar_15-30-700x466Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a park in a state of constant change these days thanks to the ongoing construction of Pandora – The World of AVATAR, and the work related to the Rivers of Light.

And now there’s a brand-new bar and snack stand ready to feed hungry guests who happen to be trekking through Asia.

This snack stand is actually located in the same spot where guests would have grabbed a paper FastPass back in the day. But now you can stop by and grab a cool drink or a quick snack after braving Expedition Everest.

The set up is simple – the Thirsty River Bar is on one side and the Trek Snacks stand is on the other. The bar features mocktails and cocktails including the Khumbu Icefall and Flying Yak as “frosty beverages” and the Durbar Margarita as one of the Specialty Cocktails.

The snack options include popular items like the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, Frozen Lemonade, pre-packaged fruit cups, hummus packages, and more. Guests can also choose from several bakery items including the Tree of Life Cupcake.

More substantial items are also available including sandwiches, salads, and even sushi. You can check out a full review of this spot from the Disney Food Blog.

As is the case with most spots in the Animal Kingdom you’ll want to check out the great themeing and details at the Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks spot.
