The Invictus Games are the only international adaptive sporting event for injured active duty and veteran service members and were founded by Prince Harry in 2014 following his visit to the U.S. Department of Defense Warrior Games . The 2014 games opened with a message from First Lady Michelle Obama, and medals were presented to the American team by Dr. Jill Biden.
