Video: Disney Imagineers Offer Sneak Peek Into New Haunted Mansion Queue at Magic Kingdom

18 March 2011 2 Comments

One of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved rides is getting an update to its queue area, as the line for Disney’s Haunted Mansion goes interactive.

Guests to the parks over the last few weeks have noted walls erected around the queue area for the popular and darkly funny ride.  Earlier this week, the walls started to come down, and Disney Parks Blog offered a sneak peek video into what the Imagineers have been up to.

All of the favorite old tombstones with witty epitaphs are still here, but the area has incurred new theming, and expansion of some of the storylines that guests encounter once inside.  Guests also now have a wonderful view of the river while awaiting their turn to cavort with the ghosts.  The new queue will officially open at the end of this month.

Here is a video of what you can expect to see – and do.  Enjoy!  (Almost makes you want to stand in line, doesn’t it?)
