DisneyQuest

Located in Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, DisneyQuest is an interactive, indoor theme park that offers a one-of-a-kind gaming experience. Five stories are filled with the best of Disney innovation and Imagineering, including plenty of games and entertainment experiences such as 3D games, virtual reality and classic video games from years past.

The indoor theme park opened in June of 1998, and has plenty of arcade games and attractions for both kids and adults to enjoy. All children 10 or younger must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 16 years of age, and admission prices range from $36-42.

Some of the prime attractions available at DisneyQuest include Pirates of the Caribbean – Battle for Buccaneer Gold, a swashbuckling, action packed attraction that pits you against other pirates to claim the ultimate gold prize. Another exciting attraction, the Virtual Jungle Cruise, has riders manning a raft with real paddles set in the dinosaur era. Riders must navigate through the rapids while avoiding obstacles and may even get sprayed with water occasionally.

Ride the Comix, with two versions featured on both the fourth and fifth floors, allow riders to journey through a virtual reality comic book world battling enemies, while another popular attraction, Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride, also sends you soaring through the skies on a quest to save the magic lamp and rescue Genie.

Another popular attraction, CyberSpace Mountain, allows visitors to design their own roller coaster. Simply use the computer to design your own action-packed ride, then hop in the adjacent simulator to “ride” your design in full 360 degree motion. For somethig a little more tame, stop by the Animation Academy attraction where a Disney animation artist takes guests through the process of drawing a Disney character step by step.

While there are plenty of exciting simulation rides, 3D and virtual reality attractions, DisneyQuest also offers over 180 classic and modern arcade games for visitors to enjoy. Choose from a wide selection of classic arcade games such as Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Centipede and more. Visitors will even find classic arcade attractions such as skeeball and air hockey, which can be fun for the whole family.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, stop by one of DisneyQuest’s dining establishments to grab a bite to eat. On the fourth flour, the Wonderland Cafe offers light snacks and drinks you can grab and go, while FoodQuest offers heartier fare such as sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. Guests can also stop by the DisneyQuest Emporium for exclusive DisneyQuest themed merchandise and other sundries. In fact, this gift shop can also be accessed without paying the admission price to enter the indoor theme park, if desired.

As a break from the hustle and bustle of the Disney theme parks or to experience something a little different, DisneyQuest Interactive Theme Park has plenty of arcade games and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. DisneyQuest operates 7 days a week, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
