You better get some sleep this week! The next Limited Time Magic event – the Disney Parks Monstrous Summer All-Nighter starts May 24 at 6 a.m. local time at the Magic Kingdom and the Disneyland Resort.

Guests heading to Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom will now find two of their favorite characters in a new place. This week brought the opening of Adventurers Outpost in the park, a new meet and greet location.
Adventurers Outpost, located on Discovery Island, will serve as Mickey and Minnie’s new home base at Animal Kingdom, replacing their old home at Camp Minnie-Mickey. The new location will feature mementos and photographs from the famous couple’s expeditions around the world, including photographs from such varied destinations as Nepal and the savannas of Africa.

Today marks the beginning of Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and in addition to the out-of-this world merchandise that’s available, guests also have a chance to purchase special Star Wars-themed Disney Gift Cards.
During each weekend of the event, one Star Wars themed gift card will be available for purchased. The first weekend (May 17) features Skywalker Mickey. Upcoming weekends include Darth Donald (May 24), Yoda Stitch (May 31), and Darth Goofy (June 7).

The new Disney Dooney & Bourke collection is debuting this month at Tren-D in the Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort. This design is called the “Mickey Rainbow Letter Collection” and features the words “Mickey” and “Minnie” in rainbow letters in addition to Mickey and Minnie head silhouettes on a black background.
The collection includes a large Pocket Tote ($295), a Satchel ($195), a Pocket Satchel ($260), and a Tablet Sleeve ($90). These items will be available beginning May 25 at Tren-D.

Some of the best high school football players in the country are set to attend a football academy hosted by New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.
This is the first football academy hosted by Brees, and while it’s open to all skill levels, the academy is expected to attract some of the most highly-ranked high school football players in the country. Teams from the southeast and as far away as California are scheduled to compete at the three-day academy.

It has been two days since the New York Post published an article exposing the recent practice of New York haute monde hiring disabled “guides” to masquerade as family members during Walt Disney World vacations.
Why? So they can skip the lines at the parks.
Disney’s reaction has been brief but decisive. According to Disney spokesperson Bryan Malenius, Disney is investigating these and other, similar claims of guests abusing handicap considerations at the parks. As Malenius told CNN,

If you love shoes and Disney, listen up! A new collection of Disney character-inspired shoe ornaments is debuting soon at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
The ornaments were created by Disney Design Group artists Cody Reynolds and Costa Alavezos and include embellishments like jewels and glitter. The shoes were inspired by Disney Princesses and other characters such as Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, Mary Poppins, the evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Cruella DeVille.
