runDisney Reveals Finisher Medals for the 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is January 9-13, 2019, and runDisney has just revealed the finisher medals for all the races.
New for 2019 is the Walt Disney World 5K with a finisher medal featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
The finisher medal for Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge features Goofy (of course) in a spinning medal, while the finisher medal for the Dopey Challenge – 48.6 miles! – features Dopey.
In 2019, kids participating in the runDisney Kids Dashes and One Mile Run will earn a medallion for each event. …

Disney World Switching to Date-Based Ticket Pricing

Disney World has announced that as of October 16, a new date-based ticket pricing system will be in place for the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
This new system will be available via My Disney Experience app and on DisneyWorld.com.
Guests will be able to use the system to search for the lowest priced days in a month, and then choose a start date for their tickets.
Once a start date is selected guests will see a total price for their selected tickets. These tickets will then be valid during the date …

New Shows, Parties, Characters, and More Coming to Disney World in 2019

Next year is going to be full of fun and surprises at the Walt Disney World Resort with new attractions, new shows, and new characters coming to the theme parks.
At the Magic Kingdom guests will have a chance to see Mickey and Minnie starting January 18 when Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration kicks off.
This fun celebration will include the new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party,” special musical moments from the Dapper Dans through September 30, and more.

Dates Announced for Festival of the Arts and Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot

Dates have been announced for two of the annual Epcot Festivals – the Festival of the Arts and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.
The 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts runs from January 18 – February 25, 2019, while the Flower and Garden Festival runs for 90 days from March 6 – June 3, 2019.
At both the Festival of the Arts and the Flower and Garden Festival guests will have a chance to enjoy the nighttime concerts on every night of the Festivals.

Earl of Sandwich Reopening at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District

Earl of Sandwich – the popular eatery in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District – is reopening for a limited time, after closing earlier this year.
The Downtown Disney District location, which was inspired by John Montagu, the Earl who invented the sandwich in 1762, was closed due to the impeding construction of a new hotel in the area.
But now, the sandwich shop will reopen for a “limited time” (no indication on how long that limited time might be) to the joy of sandwich fans at Disneyland.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth Ending at Epcot in 2019

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the long-running nighttime spectacular at Epcot, is ending in the late summer of 2019 after more than 20 years.
According to Disney, the Disney Parks Entertainment Team is already working on a replacement for the show.
IllumiNations started in 1999 as part of the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration.
The new show is being touted as an “all-new nighttime fireworks spectacular” that will “be part of the park’s exciting evolution.”
The classic IllumiNations will be celebrated up until the summer of 2019 when it is replaced.

New Tailgate Tasting Event at the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

There’s a new Monday Night Football-themed event at the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
Each Monday night through October 15, guests can register for the FREE Tailgate Tasting Event at the Festival Center.
The Tailgate Tasting takes place from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. on September 17 and 24, and October 1, 8, and 15.

Breakfast Options Announced for Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land

Early Morning Magic starts today at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and guests can enjoy breakfast during the special early-morning event.
Breakfast will be available at the ABC Commissary and includes a main dish plus a breakfast buffet.
The options for the main dish are:

Mexican Corn Chilaquiles and Eggs Bowl
Shrimp and Southern Grits Bowl
Fried Chicken and Cinnamon Sugar French Donut Bowl

The new dates are from December 2018 until March 2019.
The dates and times are:

December 3: 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
December 10: 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
January 7: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
January 17: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
January 24: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
