Chilean Miners Honored During Special Parade at Magic Kingdom

Just over a month ago, we told you that the Chilean miners, whose story inspired millions in 2010, would be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in January.  Since last week, the men, their rescuers, and their families have been enjoying the sights, sounds, tastes, and thrills of the Happiest Place on Earth.  Today, they received heroes’ welcomes and were honored with a special parade and celebration on Main Street U.S.A., where Main Street’s Mayor proclaimed this to be their special day.

The miners, rescuers, and their families are enjoying a six-night vacation at Walt Disney World, courtesy of Disney.  The men, who were miraculously rescued after being trapped 2,300 feet below the earth’s surface for more than two months, continue to share their story of hope and perseverance with the world.
