Disney Releases More Information on the ‘Villains Unleashed’ Event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

villains unleashedThe Villains Unleashed event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is less than a month away and Disney has recently announced more information on the event.

The event is planned for August 23 and will feature more than 50 Disney villains.

The event kicks off at 8 p.m. when Hades, Megara, and Pain and Panic take the stage to get the party started.

The group from Disney’s Hercules is also the party hosts for the evening. During the party they’ll be joined by the Underworld Dancers, DJ Igg Nite, and other villains including the Queen of Hearts, the Sheriff of Nottingham, the Big Bad Wolf, and Captain Hook.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Streets of America will be transformed for the night into the Villains Dominion. Here guests will find Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, Gaston, Shan Yu from Mulan, Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons, and Captain Gantu and Dr. Hamsterviel from Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Lady Tremaine, Judge Claude Frollo, and evil stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella.

Star Wars fans will find Boba Fett, Sith apprentice Darth Maul, and Darth Vader near Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. Other characters in this area include Zam Wessel, Aurra Sing, Asajj Ventress, Jango Fett, Greedo, and the Jawas.

Over at Stage 4 (the location of The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow) the one and only Captain Hector Barbossa will be holding court. And Maleficent will be greeting guests in the Animation Courtyard.

The special event will also feature the Villainy in the Sky fireworks led by Hades and Maleficent. Guests also have a chance to experience a Villains ExScream Makeover with complimentary face painting near Echo Lake.

Villains Unleashed is a hard ticket event – guests will need to purchase a separate ticket in order to attend the event.
