The launch of Disney Store’s new fragrance collection was announced today, with the first fragrance debuting in stores nationwide this month. The collection, developed in conjunction with renowned perfumers, fragrance houses, and designers, is inspired by classic Disney characters and stories.
“The power of fragrance is truly magical – it can evoke memories and convey dreams and aspirations. Disney’s rich heritage and most beloved characters also have that same allure,” says Jim Fielding, President of Disney Stores Worldwide. “With the launch of Disney Store’s own fragrance collection, we’re touching all of the senses for the first time in a uniquely Disney way.”
The first fragrance in the collection is Imagination, which debuts nationwide as home fragrance products in June 2011. This fragrance is inspired by Disney Store’s trees that line the path of their new Imagination Park stores. The scent instills a natural and calm feeling, as it evokes the scents of an enchanted forest filled with sequoia trees, green leaves, and cool moss.
Debuting in July 2011 is Magic. This scent evokes the spirit of adventure found in Disney films, Mickey Mouse, and the freedom of children playing outdoors. The fragrance brings together a combination of icy blue mint, sea spray, and chocolate. Magic will be available as home fragrances, candles, and room scents.
Disney Store’s third scent, Pixie Dust, debuts in fall 2011. Inspired by the popular character Tinker Bell, the fragrance brings together citrus sorbet, candied fruits, and summer rain for a shimmering scent that, much like Tinker Bell herself, creates a blend of sweetness with a hint of sassiness. Wearing this scent, which will be produced as a range of personal products, such as an Eau de Toilette, lip gloss, and body lotion, will evoke the feeling that Tinker Bell is flying above, sprinkling pixie dust and causing nature to bloom.
