8 October 2011 One Comment

This month marks the one year anniversary of Duffy the Disney Bear in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, where guests have been able to buy their own Duffy, as well as meet the bear himself, throughout the parks. On Friday, October 14, the parks will commemorate this anniversary with the release of a new book about Duffy, as well as a special annual passholder gift event.

At Walt Disney World, guests will be able to celebrate the book’s release with a special book signing with Disney Design Group artist Monty Maldovan. From 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on October 14, Maldovan will be on-hand to sign copies of the new book at the Disney’s Traders shop in Epcot, located near the entrance to World Showcase.

In addition, annual passholders at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland will have the chance to get a special gift. On October 14, the first 750 passholders to present their annual pass at Disney’s Traders in Epcot, and the first 250 passholders to present their pass at Disney California Adventure’s Treasures in Paradise shop will receive a limited edition t-shirt for their 17″ Duffy plush. Park guests on the 14th will also be able to meet Duffy, who will be dressed up for Halloween in his pumpkin outfit.
