Disneyland’s Maliboomer to be Removed as Part of Paradise Pier Renovation

7 August 2010 No Comment

If you’re a fan of the Maliboomer on Paradise Pier in Disney’s California Adventure, be sure to get your fix before September 6. ABC News reports that the thrill ride will be removed from Disneyland as part of the renovation of Paradise Pier.

The ride takes guests 180 feet into the air and then drops them back down again. According to ABC News:

A park spokesperson says the ride doesn’t fit in with the new vision for the Paradise Pier area that is currently under renovation. The new architectural theme is “a return to the romance and charm of California’s oceanfront playgrounds of the early 1900s.”

No word on what, if anything, will be replacing the attraction.
