Famous Disneyland Candy Canes are Back

One of Disneyland’s most beloved holiday traditions kicks off today, as hand made candy canes go on sale at the parks.  But this year, due to rising popularity and demand, the special treats will be made at both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure. Guests to Disneyland Park can find the treats at the Candy Palace, while California Adventure goers can line up at Trolley Treats.

Anaheim Disney Parks See Higher Attendance Numbers

Attendance at Anaheim’s Disney Parks has grown tremendously during the late summer, media reports have said. The Walt Disney Co.’s financial report for July 1 through September 29 showed an uptick in attendance, due in large part to the new expansion project at Disney’s California Adventure.
According to the report, visitors at Disney’s California Adventure park contributed to a 3% overall attendance increase since last quarter. Jay Rasulo, the company’s chief financial officer, said in a statement that he attributed the attendance hike to “the great success of Cars Land, both …

Star Sighting: Mandy Moore Poses with Rapunzel at Disneyland Resort

Last week, Tangled star Mandy Moore stopped by the Disneyland Resort for a meet-and-greet with Rapunzel.
After posing for a photo, the singer/actress said she was looking forward to seeing Disneyland Resort decked out in its Halloween Time decor, and was really eager to check out Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure.
Of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on Space Mountain – according to Moore, that is her favorite attraction.

Disneyland Resort Hosts CHOC Walk

Over the weekend, thousands of people came through Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Park in support of the 22nd Annual Children’s Hospital of Orange County Walk, which helps raise awareness and support services, research and education at the hospital.
Those who attended the CHOC Walk were there for a variety of reasons: remembering those who have passed, seeking support for children undergoing treatment or coming to support the hospital that saved their child’s life. Disney Wins Golden Ticket Award

Disney has won a Golden Ticket Award, along with several other Orlando area attractions, which are presented annually by “Amusement Today.”
“Amusement Today” selects its winners via an international poll of amusement park fans who rate attractions in 25 different categories. Epcot’s IllumiNations was the winner in “the best outdoor night show production” category, earning the coveted Golden Ticket Award.
Additionally, Disney’s California Adventure was awarded the Publisher’s Pick Award for Park of the Year. This award is determined exclusively by “Amusement Today” publisher/editor Gary Slade.

‘The Art of Frankenweenie Exhibition’ Heading to Disney’s California Adventure

“The Art of Frankenweenie Exhibition” will be heading to Disney’s California Adventure next month, which is great news for Tim Burton fans.
The exhibition will be held in Hollywood Land during Halloween Time, and guests will be able to see the artwork as well as catch an extended sneak peek of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, which debuts in theaters October 5.

Disney Reports 24 Percent Profit Increase

Due to the amazing success of Marvel’s The Avengers as well as the recent addition of Cars Land to Disney’s California Adventure, The Walt Disney Co. have seen a 24% increase in quarterly profit – well ahead of company expectations.
Despite the crumbling economy, Disney continues to stay on top. New Pin Set Inspired by Custom Car Designer Chip Foose Coming to Disney California Adventure

At Disney’s California Adventure Park, the new Cars Land has many impressive details for visitors to enjoy. One such detail – the car hoods found at Ramone’s House of Body Art – were designed by custom car builder and designer Chip Foose, and served as the inspiration for a new pin set coming to the theme park.
Julie Young, product developer for pins, said one particular hood from the collection served as the inspiration for the limited edition pin set. She says:

Star Sighting: Jodie Sweetin Celebrates 30th Birthday at Disneyland Resort

Best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on Full House, Jodie Sweetin celebrated her 30th birthday by spending a fun filled day at Disneyland.
While her birthday party was held the night before, Sweetin celebrated the day of by heading to the park with her boyfriend, Morty Coyle and daughter Zoie from a previous relationship.
At Disney’s California Adventure, she even ran into Full House co-star John Stamos, where the two posed for the camera and looked like they were having a great time.
