Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival to Celebrate Pixar’s 25th Anniversary

23 April 2011 No Comment

We have some exciting news for Pixar fans today – the 18th Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be honoring Pixar during Pixar’s 25th Anniversary Weekend May 13-15!

Plenty of fun and activities celebrating Pixar will be at Epcot next month, including an appearance from Mater, co-star of Disney/Pixar’s Cars and Cars 2. Guests will have the chance to participate in special meet and greets, kids activities, and discussions by Pixar filmmakers and other employees.

Then, head on over to the World Showplace – the official celebration headquarters located between the Canada and United Kingdom pavilions - for meet and greets with characters from Toy Story 3, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc. and Up. Once here, fans can also check out a gallery that showcases some of Pixar’s most famous Easter eggs from past films, as well as an art gallery honoring the creative work that goes into creating a Pixar film.

The World Showplace will also be where visitors to the festival can listen in on informational discussions by Composer Michael Giacchino, Producer Jonas Rivera, and Cars franchise guardian Jay Ward. While the times for these discussions have not been determined, they will take place May 14 and 15.

If that still isn’t enough for you, head on over to World Showcase for fun character meet and greets from Toy Story, Ratatouille and A Bug’s Life. Children will also love to play the Cars 2 Race Around the World Showcase game, which sends kids around the showcase to pick up clues and receive an award at the end.

All entertainment is subject to change.
