A new dated retail MagicBand featuring Mickey Mouse in a Sorcerer’s hat and holding a Mickey ice cream bar is now available at the Walt Disney World Resort. The band sells for $24.95 plus tax and is a limited edition MagicBand.

New open edition MagicBands will also be arriving this month including bands featuring Ariel and Cinderella Castle (January 16), Belle (January 23), and Tinker Bell, Sheriff Woody, and Buzz Lightyear (January 30).

All the new retail MagicBands will be sold in all-new packaging that makes it easier to see the designs prior to purchase.

New accessories arriving for the MagicBands include new Band-its featuring characters from Lady and the Tramp, Disney cats (including the Cheshire Cat), and a Frozen set featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and a snowflake.

The retail MagicBands and accessories can be found in select merchandise locations around the Walt Disney World Resort. Some accessories and the solid color MagicBands are also available at the Disney Parks online store.

Do the Magic bands have a expiration ? We have some no expiation park hopper days left but we still use the cards. Went last may and we probably won’t go this year.

Hi Tiffany – The retail MagicBands featured in this article must be linked to tickets after purchase. When you purchase a retail MagicBand it has no park tickets or any other reservation added to it until the guest links the bands. MagicBands themselves don’t “expire” – in fact you can reuse MagicBands if you want. They just need to be linked to a current reservation or ticket. You can learn more about the MagicBands here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/bands-cards/
